Code 11, our Manifesto

Honesty and integrity are the cornerstone of our ideal. We aspire to create and share memorable experiences based on the principle of good friends equalling a good life. Environment is everything. The spirit of this philosophy can be found here, we have built such a place.

Cocktails, Spirits & Cordials

We uphold the highest ethic regarding what we make. The finest ingredients: rare, top-quality and hard-to-find spirits, hand-made liqueurs and bitters, fresh-squeezed juices every day, well-below freezing ice cubes and above all, the skill it takes to prepare it properly - go into every glass.

Our Menu Philosophy

  • The best cooking requires the best ingredients - either regional and seasonal, reaching their peak flavor at specific times of the year, or exotic and imported from abroad - in all cases fresh and delicious.
  • Our menu balances traditional cooking techniques with the latest innovations. We keep to a very high standard in preparation, and strive to bring new flavors and combinations to our guests.
  • Our wine selections are tailored specifically with the courses listed on our menus, and we draw from the great viticulture regions and appellations of the world to enhance the cuisine.

QUOTES & ENLIGHTENMENT

"The character of a third place is determined most of all by its regular clientele and is marked by a playful mood, which contrasts with people's more serious involvement in other spheres. ...the third place is remarkably similar to a good home in the psychological comfort and support that it extends... They are the heart of a community's social vitality, the grassroots of democracy...
~ Ray Oldenburg, "The Great Good Place" (1989)

The cult of the cocktail is a successful religious ceremony transformed into a secular rite. The bartender is the high priest, the drink is the sacramental cup, and the cocktail lounge is akin to a temple or cathedral that uses lights, music, and even ceiling fixtures to reinforce moods of comfort and inspiration.   ~ (Lanza 1997: 74)

"I never should have switched from Scotch to Martinis."
~ Humphrey Bogart's last words
